This is the album that got me into Metallica. I had already known quite a few Metallica songs, but never understood what was so special about them. Then I bought this album, because it kinda covered both my and my mother's musical world - I liked rock/metal, she liked classic (and Nothing Else Matters, which she had heard before). So, this was the ideal cd for long car trips
. But it didn't stay only that; I fell in love with this cd, and it's now one of my most often listened cds, I think I know every note of it by heart. I later bought almost all other Metallica cds, but I still prefer the S&M versions of some songs.
